Barrel Aged Sour with Blackboy Peaches and Plums

“Back in 2018 we went for a trip up to Kaikoura to hang out with our friends from Emporium and Concept. After a long day brewing we sat around the brazier long in to the night opening bottles of mixed ferment sour beer. We collected all the dregs from the bottles, grew that up as a culture and later inoculated a barrel filled with a pale base beer. After 2 years of barrel aging we racked the beer onto blackboy peaches and plums and aged the beer for another year before bottling. The result is dry, fruity, tart and lightly funky.” (Wilderness Brewing)

***Please note, due to our location in Kaikoura delivery times can be longer than expected. All couriered items that get picked up from us in the afternoon do not arrive at the PBT depot in Christchurch until the following morning. They are then shipped out from there the next day. Therefore any orders that come through after 12pm on a Thursday will not be shipped until the following Monday so as to avoid them being sat in a depot all weekend at ambient temperatures.***
